The monotony of the daily grind getting to you? Just want to get away for a while? How does a nine-day cruise on one of the largest ships in the world — complete with several poker games and tournaments, a rock climbing wall, a nine-hole miniature golf course, and an ice skating rink — sound?

Card Player Cruises recently announced their two upcoming cruise destinations, where poker players can enjoy all of the perks of an extravagant vacation, while still having the chance to play some cards.

Card Player Cruises will tour the New England and Eastern Canadian seaboard on a nine-night cruise starting Oct. 15, and will then travel the Mexican Riviera on a seven-night cruise beginning Nov. 15. The New England/Canada cruise costs just $550 plus port charges, taxes, and fees, while the Mexican Riviera cruise starts at $448 per person.

Card Player Cruises Partner Linda Johnson says that she is particularly looking forward to the New England cruise.

“This trip will feature some of the most spectacular scenery on the Eastern Seaboard. There’s no better time to visit this region than in the fall, when the foliage stands out in every imaginable color,” said Johnson.

Patrons will board the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ Explorer of the Seas, which also features several restaurants, a spa and fitness center, several pools and Jacuzzis, a basketball court, a disco, and a number of shops. And, of course, you can play poker as little or as much as you want. Free lessons will be provided to any new player who wants them.

I love the $448 price of the Mexican Riviera, but check out the "taxes and fees" in California before you buy. Nuff Said.
