EuroLinx to Refund Losing Ace-Ace Hands

Online poker room EuroLinx has come up with an innovative way of consoling players who take a bad beat with pocket aces — they will refund the player the money they had in the pot up to €25.

A spokesperson for the site said an early trial of the scheme had proved very popular. “During a six day trial in June we gave Aces Never Lose refunds to about five hundred players. We had one player – he didn’t know about the offer. Poor guy. He flopped three aces against pocket tens, then watched as two tens came on the turn and the river. He was cursing his opponent, but in the end it was the winner that told him he could claim his money back!”

The site describes the Aces Never Lose promotion as “humanitarian aid for poker players”.
