Day 2 of the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Monte Carlo Grand Final the field of 527 was whittled down to 138 in Annette Obrestadpursuit of the €2.3 million top prize.

The number of recognisable names busted from the tournament during the day read like a who’s who of world poker and included Team PokerStars pros Ivan Demidov, Raymond Rahme, Dario Minieri, Noah Boeken, Bertrand Grospellier, Vicky Coren, Chad Brown, and Peter Eastgate.

Other eliminations during play included Andy Bloch, Arnaud Mattern, Casey Kastle, Victor Ramdin, Liz Lieu, Adam Levy, Jonathan Aguiar, James Obst, Peter Neff, Andy Black, Chris Ferguson, Danny Ryan, and David Saab.

The top ten chip leaders going into day 3 are:
