Macau Sporting ClubIreland’s Macau Sporting Club in Cork has today announced its upcoming Irish Classic Poker Festival which will run from Aug. 10 to 16.

The seventh annual IPC has been getting increasingly more popular with each instalment, and this year the festival looks set to attract more than 200 players.

The €100,000 guaranteed three-day main event begins on Aug. 13, and the buy-in has been reduced to €1,000 + €100 to accommodate players. The no-limit hold’em event will have a 15,000 chip starting stack and 75 minute blinds.

Tournament coordinator, Ken Corkery said, “Last year saw record numbers at the festival, including overseas players, and with the reduced buy-in this year designed to combat recessionary woes we’re confident we can make the festival even bigger and better.”

The Macau Sporting Club is now putting one ticket for the main event up for grabs in its €50 + €5 one rebuy/one add on tournament every Tuesday, and two tickets will also be on offer in its €100 + €10 one rebuy/one add on tournament which takes place on the last Thursday of each month.

Here is the schedule for the festival:

Aug. 10: €100 + €10 Mega super satellite no-limit hold’em freezeout
