The three big $1,000 buy-in events were a bit slow this week, dropping in attendance on every site. Read the recaps for the $1K events on Full Tilt, PokerStars, and Absolute Poker below.
Full Tilt Poker -- $1K Monday
The $1K Monday dropped to 372 entrants, down 59 entrants from last week. Though the field was lacking a bit in size, it still easily surpassed its $300,000 guarantee. The tournament finished up in just under 7.5 hours.
The tournament paid out 36 spots, and the unfortunate bubble boy was one of the more consistent players online, Geoff "GeoffRas22" Rasmussen (37th). Rasmussen missed out on the money this time, but redeemed himself just one night later. (Continue reading the Super Tuesday recap below to find out how far he went.)
Those fortunate enough to get into the money included Bbuddy4brkfst (35th), Jeremy "ChipSteela" Menard (33rd), Jon "sketchy1" Eaton (10th), Chris "brsavage" Savage (eighth), Jeremiah "Believer8219" Vinsant (sixth, pictured above left), Christian "da_professional" Iacobellis (fourth), Bryn "OneUponAStar" Kenney (third, pictured right), Ryan "ryanwelch" Welch (second), and Jason "NovaSky" Koon (first).
Full Tilt men in red who made the money were David "The Dragon" Pham (21st) and Christian "C.K." Kruel (14th).
Runner-up Welch final-tabled this same event three weeks ago, where he also took second. This time around, he got a $3,000 raise to $59,520.
The eventual winner was Koon, playing under the name NovaSky. He earned $93,000 for his win.

PokerStars -- Super Tuesday
The Super Tuesday was down as well this week, 56 players to 363. That amount just cleared the $350,000 guarantee. In just over seven hours, the tournament was finished.
A total of 45 places were paid to notables such as Justin "WPThero" Rollo (44th), Halfrek (43rd), Andrew "fergwrx" Ferguson (40th), Steve "thorladen" Weinstein (38th), Mike "SirWatts" Watson (37th), Joe "bigegypt" Elpayaa (36th), Jamie "pokerjamers" Armstrong (33rd), Corey "Comandr_Cool" Burbick (32nd), Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman (31st), Chris "Moorman1" Moorman (28th), Nick "agriffrod" Mitchell (24th), Paul "ComeOnPhish" Lieu (14th), Pat "TorontoToro" Pezzin (11th), and Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy (10th).
The final table was stacked with pros, including Fabrizio "SixthSense19" Gonzalez (seventh), Ylon Schwartz (fifth), Alexandre "allingomes" Gomes (fourth), Joe "Joey Capp" Cappello (third), Luke "Bdbeatslayer" Vrabel (second, pictured right) and Tom "Titantom32" Braband (first, pictured above left).
Also at the final table was Geoff "GeoffRas22" Rasmussen (eighth). Rasmussen took sixth place last week and has cashed in an amazing six out of the last seven Super Tuesdays. This time around, Rasmussen got it in with A-10 against Schwartz and his Q-10, only to run into Cappello's A-K. A queen-high board ran out, and Schwartz tripled up, while Cappello took the side pot to bust Rasmussen. Rasmussen was eliminated in eighth place and earned $9,075.
It eventually came down to Braband and the ever-present Vrabel. Braband came out on top and pocketed the $70,785 first-place prize.

Absolute Poker -- $150,00 Guarantee
The biggest buy-in tournament on the Cereus Network took a major hit this week, dropping 20 entrants to 144. The small field forced the site to put up the $6,000 overlay to meet the $150,000 guarantee.
The tournament paid out the final 18 places, and just missing out on a payday was Jonathan "M0NSTER_D0NG" Karamalikis (19th). Those who made the money included Ryan "Ryanwelch16" Welch (16th), Adam "LUCKYSOLUCKY" Shuman (13th), Todd "KoolKeith13" Lewis (12th), and Mike "Spin31" Spinasanta (11th).

Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy (ninth, pictured right) had a terrible time at the final table and took bad beats three hands in a row to end his tournament. On the first hand, Josephy moved all in on the short-stack in early position with A-9 and made trips aces against Lucas "BeaverFever" Rifkin's (sixth) outkicked A-8. Unfortunately, the board paired, and Josephy had to settle for a chop. On the next hand, Josephy moved in from under the gun with A-5 and was called by the same hand. Josephy was freerolling to a club flush, but missed on both the turn and river to chop the pot once again. Finally, sitting in the big blind, Josephy called an 8,000 preflop raise and made a stop-and-go play when the flop came out Q

. Josephy's 13,000 all-in with 4

was snap-called by Chris "INYOUREYE111" Moorman's A

. The turn and river came J

, and Josephy was eliminated in ninth place, earning $3,750.
There was talk of a deal five-handed, but METOO555 got disconnected near the beginning of the final table, putting aside any deal for the moment. As the blinds began to eat his stack away, Zachary "Crazy Zachary" Clark's tournament came to an end in fifth place. Finally, the round got too expensive for the disconnected player, and he was eliminated in fourth place.
Mohsin "ChicagoCards1" Charania (third) added to his Online Player of the Year standings with this final-table performance, moving him further up the leader board into fourth place overall. Charania got it in with pocket sixes against Moorman's 9-6 offsuit. The river 9 knocked Charania out of the tournament and gave Moorman a more than 8-1 chip lead going into heads-up play.
It only took two more hands when he flopped trip fives against BELANDATOR's A-7 offsuit. With the win, Moorman moved into second place overall in the OPOY standings, behind Steve "gboro780" Gross by 122 points.
