A suggestion to Barack Obama to “let online poker players in the United States play legally and without fear of prosecution” that appeared on his “Citizen’s Briefing Book” website has quickly been voted the second-most-popular idea and is promised to be seen by the President-elect.
The site was set up by Obama’s transition team and is designed to allow citizens to submit and promote suggestions about what issues the President-elect needs to tackle during his term.
It’s set up in such a way that the more people who vote on a suggestion, the more likely it will rise to the top and be given thought by Obama’s transition team. A citizen with the username of AAHue posted this suggestion on Monday:
Boost America's Economy with Legal Online Poker
Let online poker players in the United States play legally and without fear of prosecution. Reform the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act to exempt poker, a game of skill, from the law. Boost the economy by letting American companies and Ameican (sic) players make money and pay taxes instead of sending online poker businesses offshore. Protect online poker players by regulating the industry to ensure that no one is ever cheated.
It’s already considered the second-most-popular idea listed on the site, just one behind an entry titled “Bullet Trains and Light Rail.” Nearly 10,000 people voted on AAHue’s post, putting it right at the top.
More than 120 people have commented on the post, and that number is growing every time the refresh button is hit.
The post can be found here. People must be registered to vote and comment on posts, but the entire process takes less than a minute.
On the video introducing the page, Obama’s transition co-chair Valerie Jarrett explained that the site was created to bring the ideas and suggestions from normal citizen’s directly to the President-elect. So far, nearly 5,000 ideas and suggestions have been submitted.

on what site does this moron play on . skill is almost a zero factor early and late in the online tourneys. even in the middle rounds only a big stack keeps you somewhat safe from muliple suckouts. ub still paying off the losing hand?????

I saw a Poker Stars PRO in a $50/100 limit cash game today; they had 44 and chased to the river card with 3 over cards and a possible flush on the board, the PRO hit a 4 on the river for a set to beat the other player's 2 pair. hmmmmm

Could online be setup to rotate the money from player to player and they take the rake out the whole time it goes around??? The more you feed the rake at the cash tables, the better you do in the tournaments???

no because lots of people make money and lots lose, i for one have made 4 grand since thx giving (not much comparably but still) and i have sharkscoped people that have lots over 60 grand overall, so no the money does not rotate - it funnels into my and many other good players pockets

I don't play tournaments d-bag.
Plenty of people on CP do play them though, and win consistently. Get your head out of your rear end. Some people win at poker and more people lose, it's the same whether it's online, at a casino, or in your kitchen.
Online poker is rigged so that the money is funneled from the bad players to the good players, with some of it going to the rake.*

Actually I have played about 800 double or nothing sngs on Stars. Sharkscope me without the "s" on the end of my name. It's not a lot of tourneys, but it's pretty consistent.

by the way it just goes to show how ignorant people like bmpek (who must be a losing player to think skill doesnt matter in poker) are when they assume things like names here being the same as poker sites, and that bad beats mean rigged sites - go ask any long time live player (like hellmuth) about how many bad beats they take each and every day, its no wonder I make money online, cant believe people could be so obtuse.

by the way pikachucards your stars stats are fine, too bad you dont get rake back - but rakes there are lower anyways on most games, you should come to cake, rakeback plus tons of idiots in the dblrs, since site is so small i got stats thru pokeredge on about 90% of the dbl/nothing players at over 200 hands each plus personal notes on more (mostly on $25 or higher - my friend though does lower stakes and has the stats for those players). right now averaging 300 a week on these suckers, and if you like dbl/nothing we have developed a book of rules to play by since they are so different from regular sngs, with cross referencing poker-edge and sharkscope together for the ultimate formula (at least we believe and so far so good) you should email me and we can discuss it if you like
