NETeller Changes Name to NEOVIA

NETeller Plc, the online payment process popular in the online poker community, has announced it is changing its name to NEOVIA Financial Plc from Nov. 17. The move is aimed at differentiating the company from its premier brands NETELLER, NETBANK, and Net+.

The company, which was the first major casualty of the clampdown in online gaming in the U.S. and subsequently paid a fine of $136 million to U/S/ authorities, said the re-branding had been a year-long process and is widely seen as a move designed to help it shake its troubled past with online gaming and expand beyond its current markets.
