World Series of Poker Europe
The second-annual World Series of Poker Europe £
10,000 buy-in main event concluded yesterday with John Juanda the winner. After the longest final table in WSOP history at 21 hours, Juanda took home his fourth WSOP bracelet and the equivalent of nearly $1.6 million U.S. dollars. The second-place finisher, 23-year-old Stanislav Alekhin of Moscow, Russia, won $738,000, and Ivan Demidov of the November Nine came in third. Making the WSOPE main event final table and snagging $463,000 is a good precursor for Demidov to do well in the WSOP finale coming up on Nov. 10. The following are the final-table results:
PokerStars Asian Pacific Poker Tour
The PokerStars Asia Pacific Poker Tour Seoul event attracted 165 entrants who all bought in for $2,870. The tournament took place at the Paradise Walker-Hill Casino in Seoul, South Korea. Sixteen players made the money, but it came down to heads up between two Japanese players. Yoshihiro Tasaka defeated Hidenari Shiono when his 9-2 offsuit paired the board on the flop to win him the top prize worth more than $128,000. Here is a look at the final-table results:
The next stop on the APPT will take place in Auckland, New Zealand, Oct. 9-12.
UltimateBet Aruba Poker Classic

European Poker Tour London
