The only Canadian stop on the World Poker Tour is the North American Poker Championship, and CakePoker is now running satellites for its players to win a $12,000 prize package to play the world-class event.
Daily quarter-final satellites run for $5 and award seats into a weekly semi-final that takes place every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. EST. To buy-in directly into the semifinal, it costs $40. For every $215 in the prize pool, a seat into the weekly final is awarded. This qualifier awards the $12,000 packages and runs every Sunday from now until Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. EST. Players can also get into the $215 buy-in weekly final by playing in daily cash and Gold Chip* single- or multi-table tournaments.
The $12,000 package includes the $10,200 buy-in and $1,800 for travel and accommodations. The North American Poker Championship takes place at the Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort, and last year the winner took home more than $1.3 million.
