The original schedule for the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VIII listed three so-called “mystery” tournaments, which Full Tilt promised would be “unlike anything FTOPS has ever seen before.” Well, Full Tilt finally revealed the information for the three events, and they include two shootout tournaments and one heads-up tournament.

The newly announced events are as follows:

  • Event No. 3 -- $500+$35, no-limit hold'em triple shootout (729 players max), $300,000 guaranteed
  • Event No. 8 -- $500+$35, heads-up no-limit hold'em matches (2,028 players max), $250,000 guaranteed
  • Event No. 17 -- $200+$16, sixhanded no-limit hold'em quadruple shootout (1,296 players max), $200,000 guaranteed

The shootout format (the heads-up multitable tournament technically plays like a shootout) is entirely new to Full Tilt. Shootout and heads-up-match satellites are currently running for seats into all three events for players who want to get into them more cheaply or who simply want to get a taste of the new format on Full Tilt.

Check out our previous FTOPS VIII article to learn about all of the additional promotions taking place involving the series.

In the FTOPS Satellite Challenge, for every extra seat won into an event after the first, Full Tilt will deposit cash into the player’s account for the exact amount of the seat. The player who wins the most extra entries into an event will find extra cash, in the amount of two buy-ins, in his account, courtesy of Full Tilt. Second place will receive a deposit of one buy-in.

Take advantage of a Full Tilt deposit bonus through Card Player.
