Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII $2 Million-Guaranteed No-Limit Hold’em Main Event
As expected, the Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII (FTOPS) $2 million-guaranteed main event was huge. The tournament lured 5,291 entrants at $500 apiece to build a total prize pool of $2,645,500, easily the biggest prize pool of the night. The winner of the illustrious event was going to find $456,000 in his Full Tilt account. While that wasn’t the biggest first-place prize of the night, it was an incredible payout, nonetheless. (The $2,500 buy-in two-day event also ended on Sunday, and although it had a smaller prize pool, it awarded more for first place. Read about it below.)
Red-named Full Tilt-sponsored pro Ram Vaswani nearly made the final table of the event before he was eliminated in 14th place, earning $18,000. However, one Full Tilt pro did made the final table. Thomas Wahlroos and his walrus avatar made it all the way to heads-up play versus Reverse. Reverse eventually eliminated the Finnish player to land the enormous top prize. Wahlroos earned $276,000 for finishing as the runner-up.

Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII $1.5 Million-Guaranteed Two-Day No-Limit Hold’em Event
It’s arguable whether the so-called main event or the $2,500 buy-in two-day no-limit hold’em event offers the most prized title at the . The first-place paydays certainly ran close this year, as the winner of the two-day event stood to pocket $488,000 from the $2,122,500 prize pool. The 849 entrants were comprised on numerous live and online pros, some rich fish, of course, and a few lucky qualifiers, but the pros undoubtedly made up the largest portion of the field.
Among the many notable players in the top 20 in the event were 2007 Card Player Online Player of the Year top-10 finisher Chad “jse81” Batista and red-named Full Tilt pro Eric Froehlich. They eventually finished in 15th ($15,000) and 12th ($20,000), respectively. Full Tilt pro Ram Vaswani made the final table of this event, eventually busting out in ninth ($36,000), before he capped off a successful night by barely missing the final table of the FTOPS main event.
When it got down to heads-up play in the event, it was Adam “csimmsux” Geyer versus ABU-BILAL for the night’s biggest payday. With a more than $180,000 difference between first- and second-place paydays, there was a lot on the line in the battle between the two. Csimmsux ultimately bested his foe to win the lion’s share of the prize pool. ABU-BILAL earned $308,000 for second place.
The final results were:
PokerStars Sunday Million
Rarely to be outdone, the PokerStars Sunday Million was forced to take a third-place position behind the aforementioned two tournaments last night. The tournament had an even 7,900 entrants for a prize pool of $1,580,000. This turnout was still incredibly big for the event (the highest it’s ever been for a completely normal Sunday Million), making the tounament an indisputable success. The first-place finisher was going to cash for $223,000 (if no deals were made).
As is usually the case in the Sunday Million, a deal was made at the final table. The final five players decided to chop it up relative to their chip stacks, with money remaining on the like for the eventual winner (per the PokerStars chopping rules). Sunseeker was a huge chip leader when the deal was made, but he eventually lost his footing and bowed out in third place with $166,000 from the deal. Baikal7 and Kvanmo were the two players remaining after sunseeker’s elimination. Kvanmo had had one of the shortest stacks when the deal was made, and he pulled an upset by eventually taking down the tournament. His total winnings, with the extra money for taking down the event, came to $103,000.
The final results were:

UltimateBet $200,000 Guarantee
After having such success in January, in which it never required an overlay, the UltimateBet $200,000-guaranteed tournament has been barely missing the 1,000-entrant mark since Super Bowl Sunday at the beginning of February. Last night brought another dissapointment as 984 entrants bought in, meaning UltimateBet came out of pocket for $3,200 to match the guarantee.
Cushmaster and HarrisMP went head to head for the top prize in the event, and HarrisMP wound up on top to earn the $45,000 first-place prize.

Bodog $100,000 Guarantee
The Bodog $100,000-guaranteed event had 783 entrants last night, which meant an overlay of $21,700 for the event. This was a slight drop for last week’s attendance of 810 entrants.
JohnnyGstaks went up against Koxi82 for the $25,000 first-place prize. When JohnnyGstaks hit the rail, it was Koxi82 closing down the table with the big payday in the event.
