An online qualifier, “BlufDaddy”, won this weekend’s $100,000 guaranteed tournament on Betfair Poker without spending a penny. He took down the $30,000 first prize by winning two freeroll tournaments to gain entry to the $550 buy-in event.
The lucky qualifier beat 180 players to land the victory. Betfair spokesman, Oliver Bowen, said of the surprising result, “BlufDaddy has made an infinite return on his investment. Almost half of all the players in the Betfair $100k qualify via satellites and freerolls. This makes it a great value tournament for poker players at all levels.”
