Executive Poker Tour Stops at Taj A.C. This Weekend

Tournaments Benefit the Project Lifesaver Foundation

The Executive Poker Tour makes its first stop of 2008 this weekend at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Four tournaments, plus many satellites into the larger events, are scheduled to take place through the weekend, starting Friday morning.

Although these tournaments generate decent prize pools, a portion of the buy-ins go to the Project Lifesaver Foundation, an organization that outfits elderly and disabled people with an emergency electronic-tracking device.

 The main event is filmed for future broadcast. The schedule of events follows:

 Friday, Jan. 11 

  • 9 a.m. — $65 turbo supersatellite for $500 event ($50 buy-in, $10 entry fee, $5 to charity)
  • 11:15 a.m. — $500 no-limit hold’em event ($410 buy-in, $55 entry fee, $35 to charity)
  • 2 p.m. — $150 supersatellite for $2,500 main event ($110 buy-in, $25 entry fee, $15 to charity)
  • 5 p.m. — $150 supersatellite for $2,500 main event ($110 buy-in, $25 entry fee, $15 to charity)
  • 9 p.m. — $250 supersatellite to main event ($200 buy-in, $30 entry fee, $20 to charity) 

Saturday, Jan. 12

  • 9 a.m. — $140 turbo supersatellite to $1,000 event ($100 buy-in, $25 entry, $15 to charity)
  • 11:15 a.m. — $1,000 no-limit hold’em event ($890 buy-in, $65 entry, $45 to charity)
  • 2 p.m. — $150 supersatellite for $2,500 main event ($110 buy-in, $25 entry fee, $15 to charity)
  • 5 p.m. — $150 supersatellite for $2,500 main event ($110 buy-in, $25 entry fee, $15 to charity)
  • 9 p.m. — $250 supersatellite to main event ($200 buy-in, $30 entry fee, $20 to charity) 

Sunday, Jan. 13 

  • 9 a.m. — $300 turbo supersatellite for main event ($250 buy-in, $30 entry fee, $20 to charity)
  • 11:15 a.m. — $2,500 no-limit hold’em main event ($2,200 buy-in, $180 entry fee, $120 to charity) 

Monday, Jan. 14

  • 11:15 a.m. — $500 no-limit hold’em second chance tourney ($410 buy-in, $55 entry fee, $35 to charity)
  • 3 p.m. — Main event final table
