Despite some smaller-than-usual attendances in the tournaments this Sunday, there were some huge tournaments with equally huge ramifications. All-star Internet pros packed the final tables of most of the major events (with a good number of said pros taking down their respective events), one player took down his second major tournament in barely more than a month, and another player claimed the titles of two events in the UltimateBet Online Championship 2 (UBOC) and made the final table of a third UBOC event. That same UBOC extraordinaire has shot himself into fifth place in the Card Player Online Player of the Year (OPOY) race. Read on to see who all of these accomplishments belong to.

PokerStars Sunday Million

Nick 'gbmantis' Niergarth Attendance numbers were relatively low almost across the board this weekend, and the PokerStars Sunday Million was no different. The event had 6,342 entrants, which was down from last week's 6,881 (the largest Sunday Million since July) and was the lowest attendance the tournament has had since Oct. 7. The prize pool came to $1,268,400.

Notable Internet pro Nick "gbmantis" Niergarth made it to threehanded play in the tournament versus Fjusse and CHIPFLOW. Gbmantis eventually bowed out in third place, earning $68,367. Japan's CHIPFLOW wound up clinching the title and having $182,396 shipped to the orient after Fjusse was sent to the rail in second ($95,003).

The final results were:
  1. CHIPFLOW - $182,396
  2. Fjusse - $95,003
  3. Nick "gbmantis" Niergarth - $68,367
  4. rowang - $53,273
  5. Tulkaz - $40,716
  6. calmdwn1 - $29,173
  7. gabrygabry - $20,929

Full Tilt $750,000 Guarantee

Full Tilt's
T.J. 'LivesWithMommy' Slifka$750,000-guaranteed tournament saw 3,717 entrants buy in, meaning the event required an overlay for the first time in more than a month (the event has required an overlay six of the 12 times it has been held). The overlay was a smallish $6,600.

T.J. "LivesWithMommy" Slifka made the final table of the event barely a month after taking down the Sunday Million on PokerStars under the screen name WhatArunAA. He was looking to do what a very short list of people have done - take down both the Sunday Million and the Sunday major on Full Tilt in a short span of time. He outlasted a relatively tough final table to eventually sit heads up with waltripgolfpro. LivesWithMommy achieved his daunting goal when he raked in the final pot and cemented his victory. He earned $132,787 for his win, and combined with his Sunday Million winnings ($99,472 after a deal), he has earned $232,259 in just over a month from those two finishes alone.

The final results were:
  1. T.J. "LivesWithMommy" Slifka (aka WhatArunAA) - $132,787
  2. waltripgolfpro - $80,250
  3. TCCASINO - $52,500
  4. Ben "bmf823" Fineman (aka bfineman) - $41,400
  5. mcpalermo - $31,050
  6. AcesFall1 - $23,025

  8. Keith "Keith Sexton" Sexton (live results) - $13,500
  9. rkruok - $10,050

UltimateBet Online Championship Event No. 5 - $150,000-Guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em

Eric 'Rizen' Lynch The two Sunday events in UltimateBet's UBOC 2 were extremely close in terms of both prize pool and first-place payout. Event No. 5, a $500 buy-in, $150,000-guaranteed no-limit hold'em tournament, lured 463 entrants to generate a prize pool of $231,500. The first-place finisher would take home $57,875.

The final table included Eric "Rizen" Lynch and Greg "Wild Duck" Hobson (aka DuckU). Wild Duck was also at the final table of the other UBOC event playing that night, event No. 4 (read about that below to see). Wild Duck eventually left the table in fifth place, for $13,890. Rizen, however, navigated his way into heads-up play versus nutstr844. Rizen eventually bested his opponent to snag the top prize and an UBOC title.

The final results were:
  1. Eric "Rizen" Lynch - $57,875
  2. nutstr844 - $34,725
  3. DR SNUS - $23,728
  4. iamadonk - $16,205
  5. Greg "Wild Duck" Hobson (aka DuckU) - $13,890
  6. raydog61 - $11,575
  7. Farkouh - $9,260
  8. saltcity1 - $6,945
  9. majdasad - $4,630
  10. QUEENLAYER - $2,893

UltimateBet Online Championship Event No. 4
- $200,000-Guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em

Greg 'Wild Duck' Hobson The other UBOC 2 event last night was event No. 4, a $200 buy-in, $200,000-guaranteed no-limit hold'em event (which was equivalent to UltimateBet's normally scheduled Sunday event, as it even had the same starting time). The event had 1,317 entrants to amass a $263,400 prize pool and a $55,709 first-place prize.

As stated earlier, Greg "Wild Duck" Hobson found himself at this final table and the final table of event No. 5 (described above) last night. Not only that, Wild Duck had already tucked an UBOC 2 title under his belt the night before when he took down event No. 2, a no-limit hold'em rebuy event. Wild Duck worked his way through the fairly stacked final table here to face papitulo heads up. He eventually claimed his second UBOC 2 title in two days when he took the last of papitulo's chips.

Hobson's amazing run at the UBOC 2 has earned him nearly $100,000. He also earned 1,110 points in the OPOY race, catapulting him into fifth place. He is basically a shoo-in to win the UBOC 2 leader-board contest at this point, which would earn him even more for his amazing accomplishment.

The final results were:
  1. Greg "Wild Duck" Hobson (aka DuckU) - $55,709
  2. papitulo - $33,030
  3. potroast00 - $23,047
  4. Apathy123 - $17,121
  5. spotty8 - $13,828
  6. Nath "Tony Pisser" Pizzolatto (aka Cap'nJackpot) - $11,062
  7. bertgwen - $8,428
  8. kaleb79 - $5,926
  9. slkid121212 - $4,477
  10. theONEyouENVY - $2,634

Bodog $100,000 Guarantee

Aaron 'lost_cause' Kanter The Bodog $100,000-guaranteed tournament had 729 entrants last night, meaning Bodog had to fork over $27,100 to match the posted guarantee. That number of entrants is the lowest the tournament has seen since September, when, coincidentally, the event had 729 entrants twice in a row.

Aaron "Lost_cause" Kanter, who has seen this final table before (he finished in fifth place in July), found an extra $25,000 in his Bodog account when he beat Ihaveasystem heads up. Ihaveasystem collected $14,300 for his second-place finish.

The final results were:
  1. Aaron "lost_cause" Kanter (aka Gotcha55) - $25,000
  2. Ihaveasystem - $14,300
  3. corner - $9,200
  4. LE2JOG - $6,900
  5. JmoAA - $5,500
  6. HerschelWalker - $4,500
  7. 0ddball - $3,500
  8. BATS - $2,500
  9. Bozoclown - $1,600
