Card Player Poker Tour Returns To Caribbean For St. Maarten Maho Poker Classic
Series Runs March 30 - April 9 And Features $100,000 Guaranteed Main Event
If you love poker tournaments, the Card Player Poker Tour has the poker event for you! A total of 39 poker tournaments featuring no-limit hold’em, Omaha eight-or-better, pot-limit Omaha, and pineapple will be offered from March 30 – April 9, with buy-ins ranging from $50 to $1,100. The tournament series will include multi-table events, Survivor events, bounty events, as well as 14 mega satellites to provide players the opportunity to win their way into the main event. For the late-night crowd, there will be four Midnight Madness tournaments. Cash games are spread as well!
For the third time in so many years, the Card Player Poker Tour heads to the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Maarten, famous for its low-flying jumbo jets visible from the Sonesta Resort. Casino Royale and the great poker team from Card Player Cruises will again host the popular poker festival. Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher will be on hand to serve as hosts, while popular Zack Lawmaster is returning as the tournament director. The poker action begins Thursday, March 30 and runs through April 9. The main event, which has an $1,100 buy-in and a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, is scheduled for April 7-9. Last year it was Keith Romanovitz who emerged victorious in the 2016 Card Player Poker Tour St. Maarten $1,100 buy-in, no-limit hold’em main event. The $100,000 guaranteed tournament drew a total of 125 entries to easily surpass the promised prize pool. For the win, Romanovitz was awarded the first-place prize of $33,950 as well as 264 Card Player Player of the Year points.
