Steven Seagal Stars In New Poker Movie

A new poker movie starring Steven Seagal and others will soon hit theaters.

Gutshot Straight has a North American release date set for Sept. 1, 2014, according to cityonfire.com. Watch the trailer above to get the scoop on the plot.

Justin Steele is the film’s director. George Eads, most known for his work on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, plays the film’s lead. AnnaLynne McCord of 90210 plays his love interest. Other notables in the film include Ted Levine of Monk, Vinnie Jones of Snatch and Tia Carrere of True Lies.

A look through the film’s IMDB page revealed no poker personalities listed in the cast or crew, so an authentic look at the poker world is doubtful.

Gutshot Straight follows 2013’s Runnner, Runner, which featured Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake and was about the underbelly of the online poker world.

Runner, Runner received horrible reviews.

We’ll let you decide how Gutshot Straight looks, but we here at Card Player are pretty sure it’s no Rounders. Can they finally make a Rounders 2?

Unfortunately rumors are that this movie is all about video poker.
