Switch Poker, the mobile poker operator, has launched Bitcoin-only poker tables at the request of players.

The site, which launched Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals last year, has set up ฿0.01/฿0.02 NLH 6-max meaning it’s the world’s first site to host both real-money and Bitcoin poker games.

A spokesperson for the company said, “It turns out that poker players like Bitcoin! We have had many requests for Bitcoin only tables so that players can play poker with their Bitcoins without needing to first convert them to Euro on the site and then back to Bitcoins to withdraw their winnings.

“We were listening and today we took a tentative step towards hosting Bitcoin only poker games. With the addition of some ฿0.01/฿0.02 NLH 6-max tables today, Switch Poker became the world’s first poker site to host both Bitcoin poker games and real money poker games. Watch out for these new tables in the lobby.

“These tables are the equivalent of roughly €0.10/€0.20 NLH.”

Players can try out the new tables by depositing Bitcoins or converting Euro to Bitcoins in the account page at SwitchPoker.com.
