On Dec. 9, TLC will debut Sin City Rules, a Las Vegas-based reality show featuring poker pro Jennifer Harman.
The two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner and wife of fellow poker pro Marco Traniello will be joined by a cast of four other women that make the claim that they “run Vegas.”
The show’s preview clip, with an intro spoken in turn by all five women, gives the viewer an idea of what the show will be about.
“To you, Las Vegas is a weekend. It’s a strip club, a bachelor party, a gambling spree. To me, it’s home. I’m one of the women who runs this town. I’m tough. I’m smart. I’m ruthless. And I don’t play by the rules. I make them.”
TLC, a network known for reality programs such as Toddlers & Tiaras, Hoarding: Buried Alive, Cake Boss, Extreme Couponing and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, will air the show on Sunday nights at 10 p.m., right before and after episodes of Sister Wives.
So far, the consensus in the poker community seems to be that while show doesn’t look like it will be a hit, Harman doesn’t appear to be the reason for it, nor does she seem to get involved in any of the drama shown on the preview.
Harman was the only regular female player in the big game at Bellagio for many years and has over $2.2 million in lifetime tournament earnings.
Take a look at the show below and let us know what you think.

I am SO GLAD that Annie Duke did not make the cut. It looks, from the previews, that Jennifer may be the only sane person on this show. Im ready to set my DVR for it....

I've played with her a few times and found her to be a very nice person. I think the other women on this show look like dudes.

No, she isn't. Do not forget that she is one of the original members of Team Full Tilt. She spent years endorsing, promoting, and being paid by the same Full Tilt Poker that stole $159,000,000 from it's customers.

I'd rather see a show about 5 women poker players then 1 poker player and 4 drag queens. This just looks like housewives of Las Vegas. Pass!

i dont know whats funnier, the hideous dudes that make up this show or the article. i like how they call her hairdresser husband a poker pro. "im one of the women who run this town",has got to be the funniest s*@it ever said. what a joke, couldnt be farther from the truth. harman doesnt run anything, and she sure didnt make her way to the big game by grinding with skill, it was because she used to date todd and got put into games. im sure this will be another short lived s@&^fest that i wont bother turning on. thank god that chaz bono look alike annie puke didnt get on.

Really? Wow! Jen must really need some money to be involved with this piece of crap. All of the other women come off as bimbos with extreme low self esteem looking for any kind of attention. This show will bomb, and Jen will be embarrassed to be a part of it. Not the type of attention the poker world needs right now.

Of course she needs the money. Those monthly checks from FTP stopped coming and something has to replace them.

I'd rather see her playing poker, then in such a crap show. She has always been one of me favorites pros.

misfits post was definitely good, but I don't know enough personally to say she didn't grind her way to the top. All I know was from 'The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King' and that seemed to laud her as a master. However, I also have the 'Full Tilt Poker Strategy Guide' on my shelf, so I can't call it :D
