European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event Begins
EPT Main Event Kicks Off As Super High Roller And Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event Wrap Up
The PokerStars European Poker Tour Barcelona €5,000 + €300 main event begins today, Aug. 19, and will crown a champion on Aug. 25, the ultimate day of the entire festival.
Players sit down to a starting stack of 30,000 in chips with blinds increasing every 75 minutes from level 1 to level 14 and then every 90 minutes after that.
Last year, the event attracted a massive field of 811 and Martin Schleich was the only player left standing when the dust settled. The German took home €850,000 from Spain’s largest poker tournament.
The opening stop of season 9 began on Aug. 13 with a jam-packed schedule featuring high roller and super high roller events.
Running alongside day 1A of season 9’s debut main event is the final table of the €1,000 + €100 Estrellas Poker Tour main event, the ultimate leg of season three. Just to heat up action even more for a Sunday, the day also marks the discovery of the champion of the €50,000 Super High Roller event.
