Brazilian Poker Pro André Akkari Gets New Deal

Team PokerStars Pro Joins Anderson Silva, Neymar and Falcão in 9ine Roster

Brazilian World Series of Poker bracelet winner Andre Akkari has won a new deal, signing with football legend Ronaldo’s communication agency 9ine.

9ine will manage Akkari’s affairs in public relations and communications. He will be the first poker player managed by the company. He joins athletes Neymar, Falcão, Leandro Damião, Lucas, and the country singer Luan Santana who are also looked after by the company.

Akkari, from Sao Paolo, first sprung to prominence in 2008 with a $75,000 runner up payday in a European Poker Tour grand final side event before going on to become one of Brazil’s best online exports. In 2011 he cemented his reputation with a $675,000 victory at the World Series of Poker in a $1,500 buy in no-limit hold’em event.
