2011 Main Event Champ Pius HeinzMatchbook.com has launched a betting market for the World Series of Poker $10,000 buy-in main event, which kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, Jul. 7, and runs until Jul. 17 when action will halt until October.

Betting is based on whether or not a particular player will cash in the main event and the online betting exchange is currently offering markets on 10 players. Included in the 10 are recent WSOP Big One For One Drop champ Antonio Esfandiari and runner-up Sam Trickett. With this result added to a fantastic 18 months or so, Trickett has become the all-time European money winner in poker.

New sports bettors content hub, Matchbookmedia.com, is also getting into the main event spirit with its $5,000 WSOP Main Event Survivor Pool.

The pool, which is free to enter, sees sports bettors and poker fans hand picking their team from 50 of the world’s best players, assigning each player a dollar value from a fictional $10,000 dollar bankroll, and sweating the action. Points are given based on the amount of main event days each player survives.

The Matchbook.com WSOP markets and the Matchbookmedia.com WSOP Survivor Pool will remain open until play begins at noon (PST) tomorrow, July 7.
