888 Holdings Plc, the parent company of 888 Poker, today announced a deal with U.S. slot machine supplier WMS Gaming.

The deal enables WMS to offer 888’s proprietary poker platform to its U.S. land-based casino customers, initially on a play-for-fun basis but eventually it is hoped on a real money basis when legislation is in place.

Both companies have applied for interactive gaming licenses in Nevada.

888’s chief executive officer, Brian Mattingley, said, "WMS is one of the main gaming suppliers in America, with a network of relationships with land-based operators that is second to none.

“The combination of 888’s cutting edge online poker platform and WMS’ customer relationships, marketing and distribution capabilities, provides the opportunity to build a substantial online presence.

“By deploying our joint online poker solution, casino operators in the United States will be able to provide their customers with a robust and secure network with the liquidity and games offering to give the best possible player experience."

Last year 888 inked a deal with Caesars Entertainment in Nevada.
