Playtech Makes Social Gaming Move

Company Licences Social And Mobil Poker Platforms

Playtech, owenr of the iPoker platform, today announced it was making a significant investment in social and mobile gaming.

The company will pay €6 million per year plus 20 percent of revenue generated through the software to Skywind which is licencing the Israeli operator its social, real money and mobile platforms.

The deal sees the real money gaming software comprising the platform, rummy and poker being licensed on a perpetual basis while the remaining social and real money software is being licensed for an initial three-year term.

Mor Weizer, chief executive officer of the Playtech, said, "Social gaming offers exciting growth opportunities for real money gaming organisations to apply their technological and marketing expertise.
