Irish Winter Poker Festival Schedule Announced
Plenty For Everyone At This Year's Paddy Power Poker Irish Winter Festival
PaddyPowerPoker.com has announced the full schedule for its popular Irish Winter Festival which will take place over the October Bank Holiday weekend (26-29).
The Burlington will host the 2012 festival which will see plenty of new events and old favourites running alongside the €1,000 + €125 buy-in main event.
The weekend will see a €55 buy-in (€110 per team) doubles no-limit hold’em tournament for the first time ever with pairs of players taking it in turns to play each level; plus some lower buy-in events have been added for recreational players or those perhaps with smaller bankrolls wanting to play in a major festival environment.
The main event no-limit hold’em rebuy super satellite returns with an expected 35-40 main event seats to be won, and the Mythical Championship is back again but this time with an improved structure of 151 points instead of 101.

Paddy Power, Communications Manager for the site, said, "We’re particularly excited about our newest addition to the schedule, the Doubles NLH tournament. Players will team up into pairs and take it in turns to play each level of the tournament. We have structured it as a Double Chance tournament, to give the second team mate reassurance that they will definitely get a chance to play, even if their partner runs into difficulty early on!
“I think this event will go down a treat, especially with our regulars who love to get involved in the craic at our live poker festivals.”
Sunday night is the time to attempt qualifying for this fun and prestigious event at PaddyPowerPoker.com. Players who qualify before Sept. 1 will also win a free €50 sports bet with Paddy Power.
As a side note, the site is also the place to be tonight as it is giving away 50 World Series Of Poker packages (worth $3,700 each) in its Experience Mega Satellite at 8 p.m..
