The latest edition of Card Player Magazine is now available online and features David Sands, who recently finished runner-up at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic.

Sands, who was making six figures at an internet marketing firm in California, quit his job for a chance at poker success. The gamble paid off and Sands now has over $5 million in career earnings. Last summer, Sands and his girlfriend, Erika Moutinho, made headlines by tearing through the 6,865 player field at the WSOP main event, finishing in 30th and 29th place.

“It brought us a lot closer together,” said Sands. “I was so proud of Erika. It was her first $10,000 buy-in event. I felt as good about being her teacher as I did for my own run. Obviously a ton of positives came out of it; great exposure and it was a great story for the WSOP.”

Other features in this issue include player interviews with Joseph Cheong, Joe Kuether, Reid Young, Matthew Janda and Kyle Garner, as well as strategy columns from the likes of Roy Cooke, Ed Miller, Gavin Griffin, Dusty Schmidt, Andrew Brokos, Jeff Hwang, Steve Zolotow, Bob Ciaffone and John Vorhaus.

The magazine, as well as an archive of more than 500 issues, is available to be viewed in rich media flash versions or mobile-friendly HTML formats. All you need to view each issue is a digital subscription.
