Atlantic City Casinos Down 10 Percent In April

The brand new $2.4 billion Revel Casino Resort in Atlantic City placed a surprising eighth out of 12 in its first month of operation and the city itself saw total revenue fall to $260.6 million for a 10 percent drop from year-over-year April numbers.


Mohegan Sun Hopes To Open First Casino In Massachusetts

The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority hopes to become the first casino developer in Massachusetts, but they aren’t divulging the details of their proposal, which might jeopardize their chances at getting the one license that will be awarded in the Western part of the state.


Toledo Casino Gets License and Targets Late May Opening

The countdown to the second casino opening in Ohio has officially begun after regulators granted the Hollywood Casino in Toledo its license. The state’s first casino will open Monday in Cleveland, while Toledo is scheduled to open on May 29.


Brasher Falls Hoping To Draw Casino To North New York

An area of land originally intended for a racetrack is now being pitched as a potential location for a North New York casino in the city of Brasher Falls. After being caught up in a Ponzi scheme, the land failed to sell at auction. The Town Supervisor also has plans to expand the airport to accommodate bigger plans and larger traffic, boosting tourism in that part of the state.


Kansas Star Casino To Hire 300 More Employees

Last December, the Kansas Star Casino opened a temporary location in an equestrian arena, but now that the second phase of expansion has began, their looking to add an additional 300 employees for their forthcoming hotel, restaurants and bars.
