UK poker high roller, Sam Trickett, has resolved his immediate sponsorship difficulties – the star of the recent high stakes Macau cash games will wear a patch for online betting exchange Matchbook.com during the $1 million buy-in One Drop tournament in Las Vegas this summer.

Trickett tweeted a link on Wednesday to a headline in ERGMagazine.com which revealed, “Highest earning English poker player will be sponsored by Matchbook in this summer’s $1m buy-in One Drop tournament at World Series of Poker.”

Matchbook yesterday confirmed the news via twitter saying, “Thrilled to have Sam on board. We will be putting out an official press release closer to the start of the WSOP confirming our full team.”

Trickett and his sponsor Titan Poker parted ways earlier this month. This was followed by the departure of Marvin Rettenmaier from Titan a few days later.

Matchbook.com is well known in the poker community for hosting betting markets on major poker tournaments.
