Lock Poker will be leaving the Merge Gaming Network, after it was confirmed that the online poker site is currently in the process of acquiring the Cake Poker Network. Lock, one of the biggest skins of the Merge Gaming Network, will rebrand the Cake Network as Revolution Gaming at the end of May.
“We are very excited at the prospect of driving the product, marketing and overall vision of the network,” said Jennifer Larson, CEO of Lock. “It is a dream come true. Merge was a great stepping stone for us but we have outgrown them. We really need to forge our own path to continued success. The only way to do this is to stay true to our of core philosophy: partnering with our players.”
Because Lock has their own cashier, the transition for Lock players will go unnoticed. Cake has since announced that all of their operations will continue under the new network name.
“To all existing Lock players this move will be seamless – it will take the form of a simple software update happening on May 31st. You will login to find your real money balance as well as everything else you know and love about Lock. Lock will also continue to manage their own stand-alone cashier so withdrawals will be as fast and easy as they are now. All players’ current player VIP rewards will only increase and all rakeback players will be moved over to the increased percentage on Revolution. More details coming soon.”

Does this mean my next cashout on Cake will be quicker? I just received a check today, for the amount I had requested in December (yep, just 5 months...) - if the check clears, I'll be happy to wait 5 months for the next check, as it's for the remaining balance since this cashout was so frustrating. I'll be sticking to Merge network from now on (until Nevada/U.S. has something regulated... fingers crossed).

Lock cashouts are way way faster than Cake so I'm guessing it will be a significant improvement.

I asked Lock what happens with the tickets I've won in their poker room when they were at Merge. No answer. If they move again to Antirevolution network will our money be guaranteed?
