Gaming VC, the publicly quoted online gambling operator, has reported poker revenue down 34 percent to €2.9 million in 2011 from €4.5 million in 2010.

The company, which owns the Betboo brand and recently announced the sale of its Betaland marque, said in its financial statement that decreases in poker revenues are an industry wide issue.

Kenneth Alexander, chief executive of GVC Holdings, commented “Revenues have seen a fifth successive year of increase, against a backdrop of tight consumer spending across the Group’s core markets and the decline of poker revenues across the industry.”

Overall total revenues at the group grew by 17 percent to €64.3 million in 2011 from €54.9 million in 2010 – the fifth successive year of increased revenues.
