The exodus of high profile people from the world’s largest online poker site continues with the news today that chief executive officer Gabi Campos will leave the company on February 1.

Campos, who joined PokerStars from 888 in June 2010, follows the recent departure of highly respected European Poker Tour founder, John Duthie as well as former world champions and Team PokerStars Pro players Greg Raymer and Joe Hachem.

The brief statement to the media said, “Hi, PokerStars today issued the following statement regarding CEO Gabi Campos:

“Gabi Campos has decided to step down from his position as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2012, to pursue other opportunities.

“The company thanks Gabi for his hard work and commitment and wishes him the best in all his future endeavors. A search for Gabi’s replacement is underway.”

PokerStars was shut out of the U.S. after its owner Isai Scheinberg was indicted by the Department of Justice.
