Mirek78 Becomes Two-Time Winner of Grrrinders WSOP Seats
Subscription-Based Site Offering Seats to 2012 WSOP
Miroslav Zamrzla, aka Mirek78, recently became a two-time winner of Grrrinders Monday Night Live $1,000 WSOP seat giveaways, becoming the sites first multiple seat winner.
In addition, Mirek78 has taken full advantage of the site’s generous overlay, adding over $3,000 in tournament cash winnings, earning him in excess of $6,000 all stemming from a $29.99 membership. Although the site doesn’t take prop bets, Mirek78 asked site owner David Webb, who announces the event on holdemradio.com, if he won four would he rent him a condo for the WSOP. Webb quickly responded with an “Absolutely Yes.”
Other Grrrinders.com players have been enjoying success on the live felts. WSOPC Ring winner William Welman Jr. aka “Chop Chop” won a qualifier off another site and finished sixth in Punta Cunta at the Hard Rock $250,000 guarantee.
Ron “Grumpy” Ware won the seven-card stud eight-or-better at the Beau Rivage Million Dollar heater last week. David “Tellyman” Birones won a double entry to the WSOPC Chicago on Grrrinders and parlayed it into two cashes.
Grrrinders.com is a MTT-only membership site. According to Webb, founder and CEO, over one-third of its members play live, sanctioned events.
Jason Stern is the sites head pro and the consummate grrrinder. With earnings in excess of $1.2 million dollars, Stern is a relative unknown, yet has amassed quite the resume playing live MTTs. He spends countless hours each week offering advice, blogging, and answering emails from players looking for hand or tournament advice strategy.
“Amazingly, the play at Grrrinders is often of higher quality than playing a $340 buy-in live event,” Stern said. “I firmly believe it is the practice site for beginner/intermediate players and the fact that it offers a huge overlay is a major bonus.”
Grrrinders.com gives away a $1,630 WSOP package every Monday Night beginning at 9 p.m. There are no qualifiers necessary. Just be a premium member to enter. Other highlights include a $500 Wednesday Night freeroll, either a seat to a HPT, WPT, WSOPC or regional event on Fridays, and a $1,000 freeroll on Saturdays.
The site is billed as “America’s Freeroll Site” and once players purchase a monthly membership of $29.99 or less, they can play unlimited freerolls each month without having to go through steps or satellites. Grrrinders offers nearly $50,000 each month in cash and prizes to its 650 premium members.
A U.S. legal poker site, players on Grrrinders.com place no wagers, pay zero buy-ins, and make no cash deposits. Based out of Sparks, NV the fledgling site has become a refuge for the microstake and casual players who prefer tournament poker and have been effected by Black Friday. Over 1,000 players have plunked down $24.95 to play in over a thousand freerolls each month for cash, trips, and prizes.
“Our concept is rather simple. Compare us to going to your favorite buffet restaurant. You pay one price, and play in as many tournaments each month as you can, and win all the money you can during your stay,” said the site’s founder and director of operations, David Webb.
