The $10+$0 buy-in Second Sundays event will give online players a chance to give back. UB will match the total funds raised by its players, with all proceeds donated to the JSMSF. Team UB’s Joe Sebok will be the tournament’s host

Shronk, a poker player and respected member of the poker media, suddenly passed away at the age of 27 in April of 2009. The JSMSF was established in 2009 at the Temple University School of Communications and Theater, to honor Shronk’s life and passion for his career in communications.

“Justin Shronk was my friend and peer, and he exemplified what it was to be excited about this great game of ours,” Sebok said in a press release. “I’ve gotten to know his family, and we are thrilled to help him live on with this scholarship at Temple. Please join me in not only remembering a dear friend, but also helping to keep that memory alive and thriving.”

The charity tournament will award 10 $200+$15 entries to UB’s weekly $200,000-guarantee tournament. The winner will also receive a wireless poker controller. A bounty will be placed on Sebok, and the player who records the knockout will get a $66 entry to UB’s $7,000-guarantee at 9:30 p.m. EST Sunday.

Direct donations can be made on UB via player-to-player transfers to the account CHARITIES. Players can also donate via the UltimatePoints store. Donations start as low as 500 UltimatePoints ($3.50 equivalent). Last month’s Second Sundays charity event raised $2,942 for the Dravet Syndrome Foundation.
