BORGATA!

Woah…sorry about the delay…I’m back on track now though and at Borgata! This is one of my favorite places to be in the world. It really feels like home field advantage when I walk into this building. Almost half of my major cashes have been here, I know the dealers, the floor people, and Tab, Stan and Ray are absolutely second to none when it comes to pulling off a tournament series. I rolled down the Garden State Parkway with my dad who is playing hooky from work for the week to come play some tourneys. So happy to be here right now.

Anyways you guys had a lot of funny stuff that you said in the last blog and that was a bad way for me to have to pick someone who stood out for the Borgata freeroll. So I’ll have to flip a coin here between 2 of my good buddies Munch and Big Alfred and will keep you posted on who gets the freeroll and how they do. I will come up with a way for a more clear cut winner the next time I promise.

I’ve been busy doing a bunch of Fantasy Football drafts and getting signed up in a bunch of pools. This is absolutely the best time of the year for a sports fan. Yanks making there annual playoff push, NFL weekend coming up…Over the years football became my ultimate favorite sport to watch….Nothing like just sitting on your ass all day on a Sunday watching every game and eating like a slob. Best day of the week. It was better when you could top it off with a new episode of Soprano’s. I’m into True Blood though and I’m pysched for the season finale. Have you guys seen the previews for Boardwalk Empire? Looks like it could be the next Home run for HBO on Sundays.

So…Congrats to Will “Monkey” Souther for chopping up the main event at the beau riveage!!! he needed it bad, and it came real happy for him! Also…I will be missing week 1 of NFL and leaving Borgata for my friend Joe Cutler’s wedding this Sunday. Borgata>Suffern>Long Island>Suffern>Borgata in the same day…that’s a lot of driving and wouldn’t do it for many people, but Joe was one of the first good poker friends I made in this world, and well…nobody and I MEAN NOBODY would have ever predicted that he would get married EVER…so I think I actually have to be there and see it to believe it…REAL happy for him though in taking this next step in his life…As of now I’m playing the 350 deepstack, a 200 deepstack turbo, 560, 2k H/U, 1650 deepstack, 1k 6max and the 3500 Main. It’s a great series with huge fields, and I look forward to having something good to report back in a few days….

am i crazy or did you publicly announce that you would give a freeroll to one of your readers and then withdraw that public promise?

wow. just about the lowest of the lowest for a pro.

you've lost me for life.

I agree striike, that is pretty low. Jason, I enjoy your blogs, but come on. You present a challenge to your readers, then flip a coin between your buddies for the prize?

Sorry Jason, you made that oh so clear in your blogs and comments. Bankrolling your buddies is a lot different then issuing a contest to your readers. If you awarded a winner, then let the world know who won your contest and the winning joke. That's all we are asking.

When he says "between 2 of my good buddies Munch and Big Alfred," I think he might mean "good buddies" jokingly and actually be referring to two of his readers. Munch was one of the commenters, at least. Couldn't find Big Alfred ...
