Haven’t been doing much this last week or so, just relaxing at home, and having some late birthday celebrations. I had thought about going down and hitting a few wsop circuit events and the caesars palace classic, but in the end decided against it.
Next up for me is Foxwoods for the WPT World Poker Finals. I have never been down to Foxwoods before even though it’s only about an 8 hr drive from home. So I invited my dad and we’re hitting the road for a week. I plan on cathing the last few prelim events, a 2.5K and a 5K and then playing the main event.
I got an interesting e-mail the other day from Full Tilt asking me to come down to Toronto for the Canadian Poker Expo. I hadn’t heard of this, but I guess it’s a pretty big poker exhibition and Full Tilt is one of the sponsors. They asked me to be one of their pros there.
It sounds pretty sweet as I’d be a part of a Q and A session, be doing be some heads-up playing, be a bounty in the tournament zone, plus an autograph session.
The bad news is that it takes place on Nov 7-8, which conflicts with the Foxwoods main event which starts on the Nov 5. But I told them that if I busted on the 1st or 2nd day of the main event I’d drive (or maybe fly) to Toronto. So for once busting early might not be the worst thing that could happen to me. I just hope I don’t bust near the end of day 2, as that would be a painfully long day to make it to Toronto on time.
If you live in the Toronto area, you should think about coming down and checking out the Expo. Sounds like there will be lots of freerolls and other cool poker stuff.
