I recently received a very pensive email from one of my readers with some prudent advice. He informed me of a list of goals he comprised (some trivial, others extravagant) that he wanted to accomplish at a given age. He went on to explain how he devised a list of 25 things he wanted to do by the age of 25 and then another for when he was 30. I thought this was a very good idea and good guideline to use for us to measure our goals as well as keep us on track in the future. This will allow to look back in several years and reflect on how we spent our time. After all, the things we want to do should be our utmost priority (along with the relationships we have) since they will bring about the most happiness in our lives. I have taken the liberty to undertake a rather ambitious 25 × 25 for my own life and posted it here for accountability, insight and in hopes to spark some interest in fellow readers to undertake the same challenge. That being said, here goes!

I should note they are not necessarily in order of importance or difficulty, although I think having them in a constructive order would be beneficial to the process and outcome.

1) Hike Bryce Canyon National Park
2) Road trip up the coast of California
3) Napa Valley wine tasting
4) Write and publish my own book
5) Learn Piano
6) Live in Italy
7) Become fluent in Italian
8) Own a house
9) Host a radio talk show
10) Get paid to do something other than poker
11) Start an online business
12) Visit 10 new countries
13) Read 50 new books
14) Give up swearing
15) Play less poker
16) Become a better cook
17) See Lina again
18) Spend less money
19) Remain close with my current friends
20) Keep my family close
21) Learn Guitar
22) Recommence singing lessons
23) Learn to read music
24) Continue to make exercise an integral part of my life
25) Some things are better left unsaid :)

Cheers
