Ok before I start I just have to say Im very tilted that I made it seem like this is a 2 part blog. It was supposed to be I just forgot why. Like I think I had a funny story or something to compile for this edition but Im drawing a blank. So if the blog sucks blame Canada. Anyway on the brighter side I should be having a slideshow thingy up soon of all the pics and video from Maui which is equally sick if not sicker than Yosemite. I just have to find the time to put it up but I promise Ill get around to it. A few other boring notes before I start.
1) I won 5 days in a row in poker which is a phenomenon
2) Im moving in 3 weeks to "The Village" which is right in the heart of Irvine near the Spectrum. Im v.v.v. excited
3) Mr. Pancakes is going to be my new roommate!
4) I got an assistant which Im very happy about and Im loving life right now b/c of it
5) I don't feel like writing a blog today
6) Im really tilted that I have to reread part 1 to figure out what to talk about for part 2 so if I repeat myself pretend to be interested.
So where did we leave off? Ahhhhhh that's right moving hotels! So we moved to the Wailia and had a blast. They had heaps of water slides, pools and swim – up bars which we took full advantage of. Since Andrew's little mishap scuba diving (resulting in an ear infection which caused us to extend our stay on the island) we were forced to remain out of the water for the duration of the vacation. This hindered several big plans we had (going to Kauai) so we kept extending our stay at the Wailia. I kept pushing to get a condo or something for the month since a months rent equaled three nights at our hotel (we were averaging spending 1k/day) but of course we were too lazy to pack, move and figure it all out so we just stayed. And besides, condos don't have maids and room service! That was the overwhelming deciding factor. Sick as it is its the truth. We managed to make it to our hike (we did a lot of hiking) which was absolutely amazing. Words don't do justice (and Im not sure the video footage will either) but we got to swim and jump off waterfalls and see some amazing beaches and sights. Im working my best to get that video up soon (I have a lot of footage to go through so be patient!)
I feel like we did more on the trip that was worth talking about but for the life of me I just cant remember. So with that Im moving on with the Maui subject. OMG did I mention that I didn't bring a computer! And neither did Andrew. We were forced to do normal stuff for 2 weeks. To any poker players reading this let me just tell you it was the most pleasant experience I've had since I've started playing. It is by far the longest span I've gone without playing and the first vacation (aside from short camping trips) that I've been on where I didn't bring my computer. I actually read books. Yes plural! And I continue to read now that Im home. I started taking up yoga as well. It really turned my life around and helped me focus when I got home. Most people reading this who don't play poker are probably really confused because this stuff seems so trivial but let me assure you; to poker players its a chore.
With that I realized I have nothing more to talk about. I actually delayed writing this section of the blog until today (a day later than the first section) because I was totally blanking. Then I thought about what I did the last week since I've been home and I came up with something pretty concise. Since I've got an assistant I really haven't done much besides workout, eat, sleep, read, watch olympics and play poker. I took a sample day (which happened to be today) and included my daily schedule in here. I thought it'd be kinda funny (and needed a way to take up space) and maybe someone can provide a new hobby for me (not that Im complaining this has probably been the most relaxed I've been since I've started playing poker; perhaps due to the excess amount of free time).

Pretty degen if you ask me. Tomorrow should be fun though Im taking the day off to go the beach. Every Tuesday my good friend Will has work off so we head down to Montage (a gorgeous 5 star resort right on the water in Laguna Beach) and have lunch, drink a bit and just chill by the beach. We've been doing it every Tuesday I've been in town for 6 months and its really a good tradition (not that I have many but if I did it would be at the top). I've come to look forward to Tuesdays just because of it. I realize this may have been a rather fruitless blog but then again I think my schedule explains that. I promise the next one will be rather exciting as I have a bet that I lost which will produce quite an interesting story to say the least. Also, ill get that Maui video up as soon as my assistant gives me my camera back and I have some time to edit the photos (which should be soon all things considered). Until then thanks for reading the most boring blog i've posted in a year.
Holla!
