anyone who needs a borderline cult to get your confidence is pretty silly imo. Unless you have a mental illness every person is born with an innate ability to constantly adjust and adapt to their circumstances and environment to be successful and happy.

Wow ! I must say I enjoyed this one.
I just have a couple questions . If a poker player is sponsored by an online poker site that (Poker Stars) allows the player to compete in many high stakes tournaments that is No different then a race car driver or golfer. So it's essentially being backed , right? You are backed by poker stars Danny . I do agree 100% with your take on the young , fresh out of their parents basement geeks that haven't touched a female since their mom kiss them off to school. These kids need to be left in North Philly for a month to get a taste of what life could be like if mommys credit card got maxed out. If your winning big stay humble if your losing stay humble just act like a human being not R2D2!

Daniel,

Isn't the first card rule in response to cases of players walking behind seated players on the way back to their seat and glimpsing at those players hole cards while they're looking at their cards?

Perhaps there wouldn't have to be a first card rule if broke-ass wannabe-pro poker players weren't a slimy bunch of angle-shooting douchebags.
