My Favorite Event

I waited 2 days for my favorite event; the $5000 stud hi/lo championship, I recognized 5 of the other players at my table. Seat 1 Mickey Seagle Seat 2 Shannon Elizabeth Seat 3 An aggressive Asian player from the Commerce and Bike mixed games Seat 7 Eric Buchman, who I'd played with many times in Atlantic City mixed games; and Seat 7 Robert Mizrachi. The first 2 rounds went rather smoothly. I built up to about 12000 chips and chopped most pots I was in; but got scooped on 2 key pots near the end of Level 2 to end at about 10500. We are going to 200-400 with a 50 ante, so each hand this round is critical if you play to the river and lose.

Shannon Elizabeth has played very well, although I did see her make a few bad bets on 7th street where she could have check-called rather than bet out and get raised. She seems to have a good understanding of the game, and has "owned" Eric Buchman.

On one hand, I had bet on every street and by 6th street had three sevens and a low draw. The dealer dealt me my opponent's card by mistake and I looked at it and saw a King. My opponent had my card and I knew the King didn't help my opponent. I argued for an all in situation with no more betting and took down the nice pot when the floor agreed.
