This top European player has had a lengthy professional career and seems to be peaking at the right time. Maxfield made two World Series of Poker final tables and two first-place finishes on the European poker tournament trail in 2004 as well.
In 2005 however, Maxfield’s appeared to hit his stride with a second-place finish at the World Poker Tour Championships. Maxfield won close to $1.7 million for his near victory.
