Medic’s first major cash was a sixth-place finish at the 2005 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, good for $112,000. He finished third at the Aussie Millions, for $282,432, and won his first World Poker Tour title at the 2006 World Poker Finals for a staggering $1,717,194. The very next year, he returned to Foxwoods in order to defend his title, and he nearly did. He outlasted 572 players and finished third for nearly $865,000. In the opening event at the 2008 World Series of Poker, Medic took down the $10,000 buy-in World Championship pot-limit hold'em event for more than $794,000 and a coveted bracelet. At the rate he’s winning, the tournament fields will be the ones in need of a medic.
