The "Mad Genius" of poker is a highly regarded poker professional, and Doyle Brunson calls him "the finest draw player alive."
Mike Caro was born May 16, 1944, and bounded into the poker spotlight in 1978 when he contributed 50 statistical tables to Doyle Brunson's Super/System. In 1992, Caro brought the first world-class poker tournament to the East Coast, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, and called it the World Poker Finals. The tournament was the first to use his four-color deck and to bring corporate sponsorship to poker tournaments.
Caro has 10 recorded tournament cashes since 2000, with eight final-table appearances. He finished sixth in the 2005 Poker Superstars Invitational tournament.
