This poker professional and former attorney has exploded onto the scene in a relatively short time. His sights are set on winning the "big one," otherwise known as the main event of the World Series of Poker, and his third bracelet.
Mark Seif was born Oct. 4, 1967, and at 7 years of age began playing poker at home with his parents. He's an attorney who worked for the D.A. in Los Angeles and believes his experience as a lawyer helps him to better read his opponents at the table.
In only five years, Seif has made the money in 47 major tournaments, playing down to 34 final tables and going heads up in 14 of them. He's won 10 events, including the 2004 $1,500 Legends of Poker no-limit hold'em tournament, and back-to-back 2005 WSOP tournaments: the limit hold'em shootout and the $1,500 no-limit hold'em events.
