Born in 1974 in Vietnam and raised in the United States, Liz Lieu knew from age 18 that she wanted to make a career out of poker. Quickly moving through the ranks of the Las Vegas cash games and decimating competition at Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, Lieu has recently turned her focus toward tournament play and is annihilating the competition along the way. She has finished in the top 20 in seven out of eight tournaments since 2005 and has left an unmistakable presence on the tournament floors of today’s biggest events. More recently, Lieu won the no-limit event number 12 at the 2007 Los Angeles Poker Classic, taking home nearly $150,000.
