Jordan Morgan is a highly accomplished player both online and live. Having already won many online tournaments, Morgan went on to cash in four events at the 2006
World Series of Poker, including making one final table. His total take at the 2006
WSOP was more than $100,000. In 2007, he added four more cashes to his
WSOP record. His biggest cash to date was for second place in the $10,000 main event of the 2006
U.S. Poker Championship, which was worth $405,000. Morgan finally won a major title at the 2007
WSOP circuit event in Tunica.
It’s safe to say that total career winnings of more than $1 million is a nice chunk of change for a young poker player like Morgan, who’d “started” his career playing micro-limits with his college friends at the University of Oklahoma. It didn’t take him long to figure out that poker was working for him, and he decided to pursue a career as a poker professional, rather than continue with his studies in engineering.
