Chris Bell learned to play poker from his brother in high school. It continued to be a hobby throughout college at North Carolina State where he received a degree in business. After a few years working as a realtor, Bell decided to become a professional poker player in 2002.

Bell has accumulated more than $1.1 million in tournament winnings. He has cashed in eight World Poker Tour events and made two final tables. At the 2005 Mirage Poker Showdown he came in third at the televised final table, and finished in ninth at the 2006 Borgata Poker Open.
