After switching to playing poker professionally a few years ago, Grospellier began playing more live tournaments. He has played at the World Series of Poker and most of the European Poker Tour events in the last two years. At the 2006 EPT Scandinavian Open, Grospellier placed second for almost $400,000. Second is nice, but it is always huge for professionals to win and own a title. He got his chance at the 2008 EPT PokerStars.net Caribbean Adventure main event. He outlasted the entire field of 1,136 players to win the first-place prize of $2 million.
