After starting school at New York University for a hotel management degree, Andrew Brown left to play poker professionally. He tours the underground games in New York and on the East Coast. While he would like to finish school, he says it is hard to break away from the independent lifestyle that being a poker pro provides. The money isn’t bad, either. At the 2008 World Series of Poker, Brown made his largest cash to date when he beat Ted Forrest heads up to take down the $2,000 buy-in Omaha eight-or-better event for more than $226,000.
