Ok here is my question... In the middle of a tornament I had about 30k in chips blinds were at 12 and 24 hundred... I was in the small blind with a pair of tens and a guy from mid late position moved in for just under 10k and it was about the third time he had just shoved to take down the blinds and antes in the last 15-20 minutes. I was about 90 percent sure I was a flip I called and he spiked an ace on the river. This was a decent portion of my stack and it forced me into a position where I had to move my chips in weaker then I'd like for my tornament life. My question is in a tornament where I am sitting in reasonably comfortable position but still looking to chip up can I just lay down 10's and continue to play small ball until I find a better spot.
